A day filled with imagination, laughter, and the magic of storytelling at Pacific Oaks Children’s School!
HERS Foundation was honored to welcome John Archambault, acclaimed children’s author, poet, and storyteller, best known for co-authoring the beloved classic Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. His celebrated works, including Barn Dance!, Knots on a Counting Rope, and The Ghost-Eye Tree, have inspired generations of young readers through rhythm, creativity, and the joy of storytelling.
During this special visit, John brought his stories to life for young learners through interactive readings, playful storytelling, and meaningful engagement. From the excitement of hearing stories directly from their author to the wonder of discovering new characters and adventures, the experience celebrated the extraordinary role literature plays in early childhood development.
The event also featured a special book signing, creating an opportunity for children, parents, and educators to connect with the author and celebrate their shared love of reading.
At HERS Foundation, we believe that education is the foundation of empowerment, and storytelling is one of the earliest ways children discover their voices. By connecting young learners with inspiring authors and meaningful literary experiences, we hope to nurture imagination, confidence, and a lifelong passion for learning.
A heartfelt thank you to John Archambault, Pacific Oaks Children’s School, and all the wonderful families and educators who helped make this celebration of literacy so meaningful.
Every story sparks imagination. Every voice holds possibility. Every child deserves the opportunity to dream.
