Another year, another Thanksgiving season at Pacific Oaks — and our team was grateful to return for a morning of storytime, kindness, and community connection.
We spent the morning reading picture books to preschoolers, sharing gentle stories about friendship, gratitude, and imagination. Tiny chairs, bright eyes, soft giggles — moments that remind us how meaningful it is to help young children discover joy through books.
As part of our Thanksgiving outreach, we also set up a small picture-book fundraising table, offering the same children’s books we read in class. With parents and little ones stopping by, we raised support for the Her Future Scholarship Fund, which helps first-generation and low-income girls access education and creative opportunities.
Returning to Pacific Oaks year after year feels special — familiar classrooms, new faces, and a tradition that blends literacy, gratitude, and social impact.
Here’s to another year of stories, connection, and empowering the next generation —
one classroom, one book, one girl at a time.
